I'm confused...

So...I just finished talking to one of the guys at PegasusNews (a Dallas-area news website), and he essentially asked me the basic "why do you want this job" questions then said, "sure, we'll take you and you can do whatever. Great, thanks Bye."

I'm a little stunned. It shouldn't be that easy.


Or maybe it really isn't that easy. After all, it is an unpaid internship, and I need moolah...but he said I can call him again in April to reconfirm, so I guess if I get a better offer...?
