So, things suck...regardless of the reason.

Sometimes it isn't enough to rationalize things; to do that is an attempt to take out the emotional aspect, the human aspect -- and, most of the time, that is an indelible part of the situation.

Knowing that you may need the shot doesn't make the pain and shock any better.

Not now, at least.
